Amanda and Paul’s wedding photography Blake Hall

A couple of weeks ago Hannah and I went alone to the gorgeous Blake Hall for Amanda and Paul’s gorgeous summer wedding… sadly no-one told the weather man it was supposed to be sunny. So we had a little bit of rain but I doubt anything would have stopped them smiling. Amanda had planned the wedding down to the last detail, clearly she has an eye for details! It was perfect in every way (but a little sunshine would have meant lawn games but even without them everyone was clearly having a great time!) They got married in the oldest wooden Church in Greensted and whilst is it a little dark, I loved their church photos. Then afterwards heading over to Blake Hall for their reception. Whilst the guests didn’t brave the rain so much, Amanda and Paul happily ventured into the gardens (Hannah had brollies at the ready to keep them dry) but I’m pretty sure you cannot tell it’s raining from their smiles.

In the evening they had an AMAZING band – The Happy Hour- who got everyone dancing pretty much straight away (oh and krispy kreme doughnuts which were so tempting but I somehow resisted – despite my love of all things sweet)

And the good thing is you get to see more of their amazing flowers by The Flower Mill – I love the daisies!!! (lots of people loved their sneak peek)

Sneak peek: Nicola and Marks Upminster wedding photography

Nicola and Mark met me way back in January 2012, when they came along to one of the few fayres I’ve done. It was actually Nicola and her mum I met at the Fayre, but Nicola said she knew I was the one for her so when I got home from the fayre she had already emailed me and asked if her and Mark could come and look at the albums at my home. I knew the wedding would be special as the date they had picked was actually Nicola’s mum and dad’s anniversary, so they would all share the special date. Fast forward to June 2013 and the sunshine shone for them at Top Meadows Golf club. Here’s a little sneak peek of their day…

Kirsty and Marks Surrey engagement at Great Fosters

Kirsty actually saw some of my wedding photographs in a magazine before she was even engaged and told Mark that I was going to photograph their wedding. So when they got engaged she got in touch straight away (before they even booked a venue) to ask which dates was I free!

They had originally planned to get married in Essex where they live, but their search for a venue wasn’t as easy as finding their photographer. When they eventually went to visit Great Fosters, for lots of reasons they knew it was their wedding venue! It’s easy to see why, the gardens are spectacular and the house itself couldn’t get much more breathtaking.

So when we chatted about where to do their engagement shoot, it was an easy answer… Great Fosters gardens. It was great getting to explore it all before their big day, then afterwards we went to Runnymede-on-Thames hotel for drinks and a chat but couldn’t help but get some more along by the river. Mark’s family boat often moors along that stretch of the Thames, so it was very appropriate. I can’t wait for their wedding later this year… and I know Kirsty is very excited with all the planning.

Amie and Alex’s london engagement photography shoot

When the lovely Amie and Alex came to see me, I must admit I got pretty excited about their science themed wedding (my inner geek LOVED science as a child). Their wedding even includes a museum tour (but more of that on their day) but lets just say I am pretty excited! It turns out we had more in common than just loving science, as teachers locally to me I mentioned my brother in law was a teacher, I said wouldn’t it be funny if one of you was at the same school. We both agreed that was highly unlikely but I told them his name… and spookily he does teach at the same school as Amie!!! I love random concidences.

Anyway last week we all headed into London for their recce and then engagement shoot taking in the city of London. It was gloriously sunny, we walked about lots and laughed quite a bit too! Our feet got a little sore, but I think it was worth it, don’t you think so too…

Sneak peek: Carmel and Matts wedding photography gosfield hall essex

Last weekend Ian and I shot another beautiful wedding last weekend, at the gorgeous Gosfield Hall (you will have seen a sneak peek of another wedding there last weekend too). It’s such a stunning wedding venue the weddings felt so different, despite being at the same place! Carmel and Matt had an electric blue theme – complete with house sale signs (Matt’s a talented high end estate agent and even encouraged us to make our own house move last year when he met us!). As well as Carmel looking stunning she was joined by two beautiful bridesmaids and my favourite assistant ever – flowergirl Olivia – Matt’s gorgeous little girl. And they had a photobooth and who doesnt love a photobooth
